Dancing with wolves

Yesterday I took my little sister H for a UCAS day at Royal Holloway University and my gosh it was a beautiful place. The old, red brick buildings were gorgeous and it's set right in the countryside. Nevertheless I don't really think she wants to go there but who knows what will happen. I took the opportunity to wear my new top which has a beautiful print of the sky, I absolutely adore it. I've also been totally naughty and bought a new jacket for spring/summer, the leather sleeve one...

Coat from Zara
Top from Pins & Needles via Urban Outfitters
Skirt from H&M
Brogues from Office
Bag from Dorothy Perkins
Necklace from Stolen Thunder
Wolf and H rings from Love, Hearts & Crosses
Cross ring from ASOS

This outfit is pretty similar to the one I wore on Monday minus the hat and with a different top. I'm kind of having a skirt dilemma and really want a semi high waisted black one in preferably an A line shape. Isn't the wolf ring hilarious? I know it was a pretty mental purchase but I think Jacobs wolf face (yes it is from Twilight) is so amusing I just had to have it, after all novelty is my middle name! I'm really into rings at the moment, I never used to wear them but now I can't get enough.

I felt a little silly posing in the university courtyard for a mini photo shoot but the buildings are so beautiful I wanted you to see them. Fortunately it was a pretty bleak day so not many people were out and about.

I'm attempting to give up chocolate for lent. Shrove Tuesday was a complete dairy milk, vanilla ice cream and chocolate indulgence so I must behave for the next 40 days (38 now). Are you guys giving up anything?

No more work this week x

  2. Great combination of colours, kind of got the block colours sorta going on in a way too! Your tee is lovely! I like the unique print on it. Also I agree with the ring, it's mental but brilliant! I never used to wear them either but its only been this year that I've seen some great ones around.

The building is simply beautiful, my university is far more modern which is a shame.

I have 0 per cent will power so I'm gonna keep doing what I'm doing now, haha!

Like you know I have given up Chocolate, Sweets and Crips for Lent. I always give up something or three! It will be good for my waist line and also for my three peaks training. Not I've been doing too much this week!

  13. The wolf ring is amazing, and I love your shirt! It looks great with the tights (:

I'm from the US and have been lucky enough to visit London and travel parts of the UK twice, and I've always been amazed at how beautiful all your buildings and university campuses are - so much history, and so wonderfully built!

  17. YOU bought the coat! haha! I KNEW you wouldn't be able to resist, haha! I always give up chocolate too, but I already gave that up ages ago for the wedding, so instead I'm taking something up.. like reading a chapter from the Bible every day, in the morning preferably because whenever I get round to it int he evenings I'm usually just so tired that I fall asleep, eek :P And yes, the ring is awesome.. I think his white fur reminds me of your bright blonde hair! :)

  18. Ooh good choice with the coat - it's a stunner! The sky top is beautiful too. Good luck with the skirt hunt. I find that the moment you want something specific, you can't flipping find it anywhere.

I'm giving nothing up for Lent. I'm finding the book buying ban hard enough going and I can't deprive myself of anything else!

  19. Your new coat is amazing, the leather sleeves are so chic but they also add a little rebel flair to the outfit. In my opinion definitely splurge worthy!

I agree with the lovely ladies above; your wolf ring is nothing short of epic!

Have a great weekend and thank you for commenting on my blog, so sweet of you!

  21. I absolutely adore that t-shirt, I'm a total sucker for prints. I'm impressed you're giving something up for lent, this year I've gone with 'I can be miserable for any 40 days of the year, why bunch them all up together?'
