RESTAURANT REVIEW: Homeburger revisited

It feels like such a long time since I’ve done a burger review here, which is strange considering how much I love them, but I’m back with an update on one of my favourite burger delivery services. Thanks to Steve’s parents, we’re able to take advantage of their North London postcode and utilise a whole host of delivery services that normally wouldn’t be accessible from Wimbledon. A place I really enjoy is Homeburger, situated on Holloway Road, this burger joint offers eat in and takeaway options. I was asked by Homeburger to review their food a few weeks ago and I jumped at the chance to try more of the menu as it’s been a long time since my previous visit.

A bacon cheese burger isn’t my usual order but being of an open mind I was keen to try it. Whilst the beef patty wasn’t quite as pink as I’d normally like (that’s the problem with takeaway) the burger tasted great. It’s a big one, with a sturdy bun and juicy patty. Lots of melted cheese and onion relish make it incredible tasty. As for sides, we were given the choice of chunky chips, onion shards and breaded Camembert balls with cranberry jam. The Camembert balls were beyond delicious and the chips were perfectly crisp.

For dessert I absolutely loved the burnt marshmallow and chocolate pie, which is basically chocolate mousse with a burnt marshmallow and Oreo crust top. Incredible rich and gooey, this is an incredibly moreish desert for an absolute chocolate lover.

If you live in North London I highly recommend Homeburger as a great takeaway option. The menu is full of delicious options from mac n cheese to chicken wings. The food is tasty and great value plus the delivery service means you can order online from the comfort of your home. What's not to love?
