BURGER REVIEW: Tommi's La Hamburguesa

I'm a big fan of Tommi's Burger Joint for a number of reasons; the burgers are always tasty, good value and the vibe of the restaurant is really cosy. Every now and then they do a special and because I hadn't visited the Kings Road joint in quite some time I thought I would take Steve and my little sister along for lunch a few weekends back.

One of my favourite things about Tommi's is the sheer variety of condiments on offer. I am a huge fan of mustard and it's great you have a choice between English, wholegrain, Dijon and horseradish. The crispy onions are delicious too and I can't recommend the chipotle mayonnaise enough!

I went for La Hamburguesa, a tribute to Spain containing chorizo salsa, manchego cheese, saffron aioli and a spiced beef patty. The burger was cooked medium and was nicely pink, I personally prefer mine a bit on the rare side but the beef was still juicy. The manchego cheese was tasty without being overpowering, as was the chipotle and and chorizo. All in all a nice burger and I'm glad I got to try it. I'm normally a fan of a bog standard cheese burger so it was nice to have something a little different. The sweet potato fries were great, nice and crunchy but still soft in the middle.

I really like Tommi's and if you're ever on the Kings Road it's a great spot to pop into for a quick, cheap lunch. The deal of the century is great value; burger, chips and soda for under a tenner! If you're a burger fan then this place really ought to be on your list.
