LFW SS13: Bora Aksu

Bora Aksu is always a favourite show of mine, the Turkish designer never disappoints with his beautifully, feminine collections. This was the first show I attend this season thanks to the lovely Lulu Williams and it was magnificent - this Modern Queen collection is simply stunning! The delicate fabrics and pastel hues of the clothing work perfectly against the bold prints, harsh hairstyles and magnificent knitted crowns to add an injection of youth to this decadent and regal collection which I adore. Inspiration came from Marie, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth and it is quite easy to see it carried through to the runway. The crowns are a distinct nod to the regal aspect whilst the silk organza floor length gowns, lace shift dresses, brocade skirts plus injections of gold and silver add another level of romance and opulence. Whilst decadent this collection is also fun which can be seen in the drop down braids, big hair, baby doll dresses and bright pops of red and yellow. There is nothing about it I don't love!

Do you like this collection x
