Ever since I started blogging I realised that Milly and I had loads of the same clothes so we've decided to take an item we both already own and style it in our own unique way. The garments we choose for our first challenge were a floral ASOS maxi skirt from last summer and a Topshop Peter Pan tunic from a couple of months ago. I have no idea how Milly has styled these yet so I'm looking forward to checking out her interpretation on her blog Fashion Laundrette.

I decided to try something a little different with the skirt and wear it as a dress instead as I'm not really feeling the maxi length at the minute. However, strapless clothing is something that doesn't really suit me so I added the lace crop top to add a little more fabric into the equation. The hat is a nod to the Charlie Chaplin era and the purple add a nice pop of colour I think. The outfit is a little different from something I'd normally wear but I'm enjoying the whole 20s vibe of it plus it's always fun to re-work old items.

Decide to go with a more simple outfit for the Peter Pan tunic and wear it with a simple jersey skirt and my new clogs. Something like this is perfect for me to run around town in and stay cool in the heat without being to minimally dressed. I like the muted colour palette and the lightweight nature of everything.
Don't forget to check how Milly wears her skirt and top x

I love how you've made the florals edgy by wearing the lace over the top - doesn't sound like it should be an edgy combination, but it completely works! Perhaps it's the addition of awesome shoes :).
