Vintage Emporium

I don't get to East London very often but when I do I always make sure I visit the Vintage Emporium, just off Brick Lane. The Vintage Emporium is a Victorian style tea room come treasure chest of vintage clothes, accessories and bags in the antique parlour downstairs. It's the perfect place for curling up with a nice big cup of tea, listening to old fashioned music and enjoying a slice of home made cake or bowl of soup.

Last time I visited I enjoyed a large mug of raspberry, cranberry and elderflower tea with a slice of chocolate and raspberry torte on the side. I was accompanied by the shop's dog whose name I unfortunately can't remember. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced and I've yet to try something there I didn't like.

The vintage clothes on display are just gorgeous if not a little pricey so even if you aren't in the market for purchasing anything it's still the perfect place to explore. I love the large collection of hats and bags on display and all the trinkets of memorabilia scattered across the walls really give the place at unique and realistic sense that you're in the 19th century.

I wanted to take more pictures but I had the feeling I was being watched so stopped once I got downstairs and amongst all the beautiful clothes. So next time you're in the Shoreditch area I urge you to go visit so you can see for yourself how wonderful a place it is.

Hope you all had a great weekend x

  9. I love places like this, there are a couple in south London that are also great fun. Mostly indoor markets with lovely vintage style tea rooms attached. There's nothing quite like tea and cake surrounded by vintage frocks :). Sounds like a fab weekend! x
