Fun finds

On one of my many days off (I only work 4 days a week) I ventured up to Oxford Circus to check out Topshop and Liberty of London. The big old Topshop is a crazy place for those who have never been. Visiting on the weekend is suicide plus you need at least an hour (or more) to explore it 3 floors of woman's fashion. I've never actually been upstairs to see the men's floor but now I've kind of intrigued myself. I probably visit this Topshop once a month at the most because it has everything including the Topshop make up collection which I'm a big fan of. This particular day I was more interested in visiting Liberty because I hadn't been for years and since Topshop is a mere hop, skip and jump away I decided to kill two birds with one stone.

Photobucket
I spotted some cute finds, including this awesome boater hat which I'm properly lusting after now. The socks are adorable and I'm loving this leopard print and monochrome (bow) bag.

Cape from Topshop (via eBay)
Snood from Primark

I also tried on this outfit. I bought the top because I love the colour and the scallop edges but I can't decide on the palazzo trousers. I love how wide and baggy they are but in all honesty I barely wear trousers so I think they would be a massive waste of money

Dress from ASOS
Cardigan from H&M
OTK boots from Office

Also, how amazing is this structured, Victorian-esque top from the Topshop Boutique section. I saw it and was literally OMG, this is crazy wonderful but who on earth is going to buy it. The fact that only one was on the shop floor suggests that either it was hugely popular (doubt it) or they only made one because let's face it, it's ridiculous!

My next stop was Liberty and it really is like a museum, everything is so beautiful!

Photobucket
I felt pretty weird taking pictures inside because everything is so expensive and everyone is watching you, at least that's how I felt with my massive SLR! I did snap a quick picture of this Moschino bag because I thought it was the luxe alternative to the Topshop one above.

Photobucket
Everything is beautiful in Liberty, the prints, the clothes and even the people. The top floor gift shop is a haven for all things floral and if I had the cash I would have bought a million things including floral suitcases, Vivienne Westwood x Melissa shoes and Mulberry handbags.

More pictures of my outfit that day, complete with Mum's bicycle which is a tad random but oh well too late now!

Rings from a shop in Zagreb and Topshop (I think)

I picked up the blue ring when I was inter railing and just love the turquoise colour. The pink heart is a little comical but blue and pink is always a nice combination.

Next adventure is British Museum x

  12. I'm only ever in London on a weekend or during a summer holiday so my experience has always been dampened by the hoards of shoppers in TopShop, so I usually just leave after 10 minutes :(
I'll make a note to visit Liberty again sometime soon though, I also haven't been in ages.

    I also LOVE your cardigan

  14. I seriously love the leopard bag but I think there are cheaper alternatives out there with the same quality.
Topshop and I have a love/hate relationship because the smaller concessions have way too little choice and the flagship store has way too much. I hate going there, I rudh out after minutes...
Love Topshop clothes though... oh well.

  15. The Topshop in Manchester has 3 floors as well, but I never get a chance to have a proper look around, so I tend to do most of my shopping online anyway - bummer :(

I love your horse print cardigan! I've just bought a dress with a similar pattern, I'm really loving it at the moment :)

  17. I love all the bags, particularly the leopard print. I've been lusting after the red scallop edged top but I'm not sure whether it would suite me. I feel the same about palazzo pants too. I think they look good on you! It's just how much wear you can get from them :s

Liberty's is the most beautiful place! Great fun to have a snoop around.

  20. I was just about to say - you should definitely have gotten that cardigan! It's lush! Aaah that Topshop intimidates me, I would need an entire afternoon to trawl it properly, an hour alone for you is commendable! jazzy ♥

  24. It's true, you can easily get lost for a day in the Topshop HQ. The palazzo trousers look very skirt-like so perhaps a good buy if you're not so terribly into trousers?? And yes, the blouse is pretty amazing.

  28. Oh dear! A girl takes two days off blogging and look at you! I have like 4 majassive posts to catch up on now! :)
Firstly, you were in Zagreb! How cool is that? I'm half croatian! Yay for Croatia!
Secondly, I have never been to liberty, can you believe it?! :) I think it's just cuz i have no money, and I think people like that can sense it! So they would give me weird looks and what not!
Also, the trousers look super good on you Hannah but if you don't wear trousers then don't waste your money.
I love the bike. I love how completely random it is. 'Hello, this is me, and I'm holding my mums bike, this is the newest pose that all the blog fashionistas will follow now' :D :) You're so awesome! :)
