I can do smart

Sometimes, much to my parents delight, I dress up all smart. I've really got into trousers at the moment which is probably why I ended up going for that whole androgynous look.

I bought this shirt a while back with a groupon and I love the oversized shape of it, including the 2 big pockets on the front. The trousers were a sale purchase and I really like the chino vibe of them. I also thought the pink socks would add a fun pop of colour to an otherwise muted colour palette. This is the sort of outfit I'd definitely wear to work if I had a job which required me to look smart etc. I actually have a job interview on Friday and I really hope I get it so keep your fingers crossed for me =)

Summer Wish List

Though I'd make up a list of things I'd really like this summer. It's a bit mad how many pairs of shoes and bags I'd like but in all honesty I doubt I'll end up getting the majority of this stuff unless it goes cheap in a sale.

I really love the TBA brown leather shorts but I have my eyes peeled for a cheaper alternatives as £100+ is a bi steep for me. I'm also keeping my eyes peeled for the perfect white sheer shirt, black sheer skirt and maybe a fun tee or two. I really like this pair of Libery x Nike high tops but I hardly ever wears trainers except my Converse so it's doubtful I'll end up buying them. I want to wear the black creepers with a pair of red laces and my old checked jeans for a Band of Outsiders AW11/12 look.

Here comes the sun

The flurry of bank holidays is now at an end so it's back to that Monday to Friday grind. It's been a lush couple of long weekend so I'm definitely going to miss all that time off in one big go plus we got the perfect weather for it. When it comes to dressing for the sun I'm a firm believer in denim shorts and probably purchase one new pair a year. This time I've gone with the high waisted variety in that perfect not-too-dark-not-too-light colour.

Ever since I started running I feel more confident about getting my legs out which is a good things because there shorts are pretty short. Denim shorts go with pretty much any sort of top hence the reason they're one of my summer staples. They're also great with those dresses that are a little on the short side. I'll probably wear something quite similar to this when I go to Glastonbury in June as it's the perfect festival outfit (minus the wedges and sunshine permitting). I'm also getting the chance to show you the second pair of Swedish Hasbeens x H&M clogs I bought the other week. I really like the laces on these and because there is a wedge they're very comfortable.
