PhotobucketH! by Henry Holland dress at Debenhams c/o My Voucher Codes
Denim jacket from Uniqulo
Brooch from Stolen Thunder
Converse trainers from Macy's

Nothing screams summer more than a lovely little tea dress in my opinion so when My Voucher Codes asked to review something from Debenhams how could I not choose this gorgeous daisy print number. I wore this to the #bloggerspicnic a few weeks ago and despite a little chill in the air it went down perfectly. It's light and airy making it perfect for those warm summer days and the cute print is really fun. I've always been a big fan of the H! by Henry Holland range but feel I'm getting a little too old for it these days but I think this dress is perfect for everyone. My only criticism with it is the annoying little buttons on the back that keep popping open when a little pressure is applied. It's fine when you've got a jacket on but without a cover up you have to be careful. But even with the chance of indecent back exposure I've been wearing this dress all summer and I love it. With this Debenhams Discount Code you can pick up the dress as well.

Thanks Amy and Aisling for the pictures x

Dress from Topshop
Faux leather jacket from Primark

Really like this simple outfit, only 3 items to it! Picked up the dress in the Topshop sale for a tenner which is a massive bargain considering it cost around £30+ to begin with. Remember seeing it before the sale and the drop waist really put me off but now I've worn it a few times I really love it. The oversized fit is perfect for hot days too. Enough of the dress though, how great are these boots? I love New Look shoes, they're cheap but still terrific value. These were a steal at £29.99 and they are so comfotable to wear. The platform makes them look higher then they are which is good for a shorty like me who isn't so great at walking in heels. I love chunky shoes, I don't do dainty so these are perfect for stomping around in plus they're good for grunging up an outfit which I am very fond of.

Are you a fan of New Looks shoes?

FATTburger

1. Mini Korean and Bacon/Cheese burger 2. Chilli cheese fries 3. Menu 4. Website

Accidentally became burger queen on twitter which isn't really surprising as I'm out eating burgers almost every weekend but I'm on a mission to find the best London can offer so a lot of research is needed! Last night, along with several of my favourite blogger babes (Lily, Sarah, Sarah, Michelle Aisling, Elodie and Sophie) I went to check out the new pop up FATTburger. Based in the Sun and 13 Cantons pub in Soho, FATTburger is here until the end of September. As pop ups go the menu is pretty extensive and incredibly reasonable priced. I like the fact everything has a spin as well; for example the original contains mushroom, all burgers have the option of coming as a double and there is even a mini selection available. I wasn't sure what to have so went for 2 mini burgers, chilli cheese fries and onion rings (not shown). The mini bacon/cheese burger was absolutely delicious. Cheese burgers are always a favourite of mine and this was a little slice of heaven. The Korean burger contained kimchi which is a type of pickled lettuce I've never tried before. It was slightly spicy and unusual but an interesting combination and something I would consider trying again in a large version. The chilli cheese fries were unusual, they contained oregano which I've never had in chilli before. At first I thought they were a little strange but the taste definitely grew on me. I also had some onions rings which were totally delicious, they were so crispy and for only £1.50 they are probably the cheapest onions rings you can find in London! All in all I highly rate FATTburger. It's not the best burger I've had so far but it's definitely in my top 10. I definitely want to go back and try a full size one soon! With only a month to go I definitely suggest you get down to FATTburger really soon.

Mini or full size burgers, which do you prefer x

Everyone has heard of MEAT Liquor now, it’s the burger van (Meatwagon) turned pop up restaurant (Meateasy) turned London’s trendiest burger bar. I’ve been here three times now and for very good reasons. The food and drink is delicious, the ambience is very NYC Lower East Side aka one of my favourite areas and the price is cheap. It’s dark and dingy which is perfect for eating a grease dripping burger and whilst their no reservation policy means queues get long during rush hour you can avoid them by going at random times. The first time I went was at 3pm on a Friday and we didn’t have to queue at all. K and I shared the hot chicken wings with blue cheese dip which tasted amazing. The wings were hot and considering I don’t even like blue cheese, I thought the dip was delicious! We both had a cheese burger and shared a portion of fries for main; both were divine. The burger meat was juicy and cooked to perfection (medium-rare) with flawlessly melted cheese and well distributed sauce. The dense sourdough bun holds the fillings together well and does not fall apart, however the generous amount of sauce and cheese plus juicy beef patty means this is a messy burger and the kitchen roll found on each table becomes a key component in the meal. I’m pretty confident that this was one of the best cheese burgers I’ve ever had, a statement I’m sure you’ll agree with if you’ve had one as well. As for drinks, I had a red cocktail aptly named ‘Time of the Month’, disgusting I know but actually a pretty tasty concoction of red wine and gin. Drinks come in jam jars which are a little passé these days but are still a nice touch. The food comes on a tray which is perfect for sharing side orders but does make for messy eating.

My second visit was at 5.30pm on a Friday and once again there was no queue however it was almost at capacity (when we left at 7ish the queue was around the block). This time G and I shared the deep fried gherkins, chilli cheese fries and coleslaw to accompany our Dead Hippie burgers. I don’t like gherkins but these were delicious and the chilli cheese fries whilst hot and greasy were incredible. The Dead Hippie is a double cheese burger with special sauce and tastes magnificent; definitely a favourite of mine. Apparently it’s a Big Mac rip off but considering I’ve never had one (McChicken sandwich all the way) I wouldn’t know. I didn’t rate the coleslaw too much but its cooling taste meant it went well with the chilli cheese fries. The burger was just as good as my previous experience with its 2 perfect medium rare, juicy patties and sturdy bun but again a very messy encounter. To drink I had the Cyder Car and Silver Angel cocktails which were both nice but not something I’d probably order again. Whilst I love cider I was not overly fussed with martini also included in the Cyder Car and the Silver Angel was just a little too bitter for my liking.

My third visit was also on a Friday evening at 6pm where we were lucky again to not queue. I imagine the hype is slowly dying down thus making it a lot easier to get a table than a few months ago. I had the Dead Hippie again which I was just as tasty as the first time and shared chips and onion rings with my friends. The onion rings were huge, crispy and totally delicious. To drink I had the Henrietta Fizz which was deliciously fruity and Meatjito which is obviously their own take on the always popular mojito. Both of these were delicious and I would definitely recommend them if you like fruity and sweet cocktails.

If you like eating burgers to great music and strong cocktails (in the dark) then I can’t recommend MEAT Liquor enough, the food is great quality and excellent value and the atmosphere transports you far away from your nearby Oxford Street location.

Have you been to MEat Liquor yet x
