I realise I look like I'm wearing a blazer over my pyjamas but you know what, I love this outfit! I bought this top on my recent trip to Norway, it's from Rockheim in Trondheim which is basically a Norwegian music museum and an all round awesome place. Norwegians really do hit the nail on the head when it comes to their museum, all the ones I visited were really fun and interactive places with much more to offer than just text panels in front of glass panels. Rockheim was definitely one of my favourites and it was so interesting to learn all about Norwegian music over the last 50 years. I had no idea Aha were from Norway but my favourite section was definitely the black metal room, so angry and loud!

I feel a bit naughty because everything in this outfit is new, I picked up the blazer and trousers a couple of weeks ago. I really did not need another black blazer in my life but I love the shape of this one and when I tried it on with the trousers I thought they went together really well so you know I just had to have it. Talking about the trousers how cute is the elephant print? I do love myself some animal shapes on clothing and whilst these trousers are a little out there because they're monochrome they aren't too difficult to wear.

I am completely guilty of baring my legs as soon at the slightest bit of sun peaks out behind the grey dismal sky that is currently haunting the UK and thus this weekend was the first time I'd gone 'tights free' this year. The debatable nice weather was the perfect opportunity to test drive my new summer dress, a hugely oversized floral tent. Now I love myself a bit of oversized clothing but ASOS really go to town when it comes to this phrase because this dress is tent like. Don't get me wrong, I love it but I just can't get over how massive it is. I decided that as with ALL summer dresses it would go nicely with a denim jacket and my new pair of pastel pink creepers that I picked up in the sale for a banging £35. In my opinion creepers instantly make any outfit better whatever it is you're wearing. But that's just me, I'm completely biased to all heavy duty footwear!

Going into work yesterday with candy floss coloured hair wasn't nearly as bad as I imagined but to be honest I don't think most people even noticed. I had to wash it tonight so the colour is going to start fading soon. In other news I bought myself a new camera lens and it arrived today, it's a gorgeous Sigma 30mm f1.4 and I am so excited to start using it. I totally splurged which was very naughty of me but I was debating over the Canon 28mm f1.2 and 35mm f2 lenses for a while and then discovered the Sigma which is much better for a crop focus camera like my Canon EOS 600D. It's the perfect fixed focal length for my needs and will work wonderfully in low lighting. Can't believe I've turned into such a camera nerd...

After weeks of complaining about how awful my roots were I finally had an appointment with my hairdresser yesterday to sort out the mess. I go to the Witches Hut in Clapham Common where Frankie has been doing my hair for years, it's a really cool independent salon that is cheaper than most high street chains and the people who work there are really creative and lovely, I highly recommend the place. After I get my roots bleached I have toner applied and this is the step that varies on each visit, sometimes I have pink toner applied, sometimes it's purple and sometimes it can even be silver. The toner colour doesn't really stay in my hair for long and after a few washes it's normally back to white blonde colour which is why I don't mind experimenting with colour. On this particular visit the salon had a new toner in stock so after a little persuasion from Frankie I thought hey why not try this new peachy pink colour. When the toner was first applied my hair turned orange almost instantly but I had to remember that toner ALWAYS looks darker before being washed off. After laughing in the mirror about the crazy colour the toner was eventually washed of and the result was this lovely candy floss peach side. My hair has has never been this colour before but I absolutely love it, the strawberry blonde is a shade you don't often see amongst all the pastel pinks and purple so it's fun to stand out a little bit. I hope they don't freak out at work tomorrow but I'll assure them that by next weekend my hair will probably be back to normal!

As for the outfit, this is a new dress from ASOS and I really like the oversized style of it. It's quite short so I have to be careful not to wave my hands around in the air frantically! I feel very me in this outfit as this is the sort of look I gravitate to most days. My style has always been a bit grungy but unlike when I was a teenager it's a bit less baggy jeans and more pulled together and girly these days. The chunky shoes have stayed with me over the years but I've swapped Vans for Creepers with cute socks. Even my jewellery has had upgrade, it's still bulky but a rose gold watch and Mulberry cuff beat an arm party of plastic fantastic beads and rubber bands any days. Unfortuantely my favourite tights of the moment laddered today which is really no surprise as they're super thin but I'm going to hang on to them for a bit and hope they don't get any worse as I just love the comedy value of those little faces!
